Social Responsibility

The Occidental College Bookstore is owned and operated by Occidental College. We believe that any products bearing the Occidental name or logo should be manufactured with the same values and commitment to human and environmental rights that we share at Occidental. We attempt to hold our manufacturers to this standard by requesting that each manufacturer have a signed copy of the Occidental College Garment Manufacturer's Code of Conduct on file with us, and through Occidental's membership in the Worker Rights Consortium. We also obtain all faculty-requested textbooks and course materials, and strive to provide as many used textbooks as possible.
